Pricing
One figure to start with, and it comes off the bill when you approve the work. Everything after that is written down before it is charged.
What does a Viking repair in Nocatee cost before anyone has seen it?
Two figures decide this, and the schedule below carries both. The first is $80: a technician and a meter in front of the appliance, taken off the bill the moment you approve the repair. The second depends on which band the fault turns out to sit in — parts and labour counted together, this shop's book for St. Johns County, read off jobs of that class rather than off a manufacturer list.

A written estimate comes before any part is ordered or any labor is billed. A band says where this class of work usually lands. It is not a quote, and three things move a job inside it: how the appliance has to be reached, whether the part is stocked or ordered, and whether the number on the plate has been superseded since.
The diagnostic
Flat $80 diagnostic, credited toward the repair when you approve the work. It buys a technician on site with test equipment, not a guess over the phone. The visit covers electrical and gas measurements at the appliance, a check of the water supply feeding it where that matters, and a written fault statement you keep whether or not you go ahead.
There is no separate trip charge inside the 40-mile radius, no after-hours rate, and no weekend surcharge — because there is no after-hours service to surcharge. Shop hours are mon–fri 8am–6pm · sat 9am–4pm · closed sunday.
The estimate
A written estimate comes before any part is ordered or any labor is billed. The estimate names the part, the part number and the labor figure separately, so you can price the part yourself if you want to. Nothing is ordered until you say yes to that number.
If the fault turns out to be something we cannot fix — a discontinued board with no supply, a cabinet opening that will not take the replacement without carpentry — we say so and the diagnostic is still all you have paid.
What changes the figure
- Parts availability. A common valve or element ships in days; a control board for an older platform may not be available at all.
- Access. A built-in unit that has to come out of its cabinet takes longer than one that opens from the front.
- Parts. A wear item is usually stocked; a control board, a hinge kit or a panel is ordered, and where a part has been superseded we say what it superseded to before it goes on the estimate.
- Sealed-system work. Opening a refrigeration circuit requires epa section 608 certified technicians and recovery equipment, and is priced accordingly.
What we do not do
We do not quote a repair sight-unseen, we do not charge for parts before they are approved, and we do not work on any manufacturer other than Viking. If your appliance is another make, we will tell you on the phone rather than bill a diagnostic to find out.
Whether a repair is worth buying at all is a different question from what it costs, and it has its own sheet: the repair-or-replace comparison puts each band against what a comparable machine costs and works out where the halfway line falls.

Questions about the figures on this sheet
- Why publish a range instead of a price?
- Because the honest figure does not exist until the fault is known. A band is where that class of repair usually lands once parts and labour are added up, and it is this shop's own book, not a manufacturer list. The estimate after the $80 diagnostic is the number you agree to.
- When is replacing the appliance the better call?
- When the repair band approaches what a comparable unit costs to buy, and the machine has other tired parts. The replacement table below is appliance only — before delivery, installation or cabinetry, and built-in cabinetry is where a replacement quietly gets expensive. We say which side of that line your machine sits on.
- How much does it cost to fix a burner that will not light?
- The repairs a clicking or dead burner leads to sit in the igniter or burner assembly band, $190–$560 for parts and labour, on top of the $80 diagnostic that is credited back when you approve the work. Which end of that band depends on whether the fault is the spark module or one burner's own assembly.
- What does an oven that never reaches temperature cost to fix?
- That symptom leads into the oven thermostat or heating element band, $190–$590, unless the control itself has failed — then it is the $410–$1,030 band instead. The diagnostic separates the two by watching three full cycles against a rack thermometer rather than the display.
- Does the diagnostic still apply if I decline the repair?
- Yes, and nothing else does. $80 covers the visit and the full diagnostic sequence, you keep the written fault statement, and no part is ordered and no labour is billed unless you approve the estimate first.

Half the lights across the canopy went dark at once. He went to the driver rather than the lamps, which is apparently where a whole side going out points, and had it lit again inside the hour.

Self clean would not start and the oven threw a lock error at us. He rebuilt the latch mechanism and fitted a new motor, and the cycle runs. The first appointment had to be moved, which was the only sore point.

What the visit covers
The diagnostic is the same figure whichever of these it is booked against.
Viking kitchen appliances — and nothing mechanical in the house
Greenleaf Appliance Service repairs built-in kitchen appliances — the Viking equipment specified into a kitchen and installed in it, plus the outdoor cooking equipment that was specified with it. Home heating, air conditioning, heat pumps, air handlers and the ductwork that serves them are not work this shop takes, in Nocatee or anywhere else inside the radius. A hood duct, a condenser air path and the cooling load on a built-in are appliance work and we measure all three; the house's own mechanical systems belong to a mechanical contractor.
Viking on this site is the kitchen-appliance manufacturer. There is also a place called Viking in Indian River County, well south of St. Johns County; this shop does not work there, and it does not service heating or cooling equipment anywhere.
