Sheet 04.1 · Terms

Warranty terms

90 days on labor, 365 days on parts, genuine OEM parts only. Written on the invoice, not implied.

The compressor, condenser tubing and brazed joints inside an open machine compartment
Sealed-system work is why the parts and the labor terms are written down separately.

Labor — 90 days

For 90 days from the date the repair is completed, if the fault we repaired returns, we come back and correct it at no labor charge and with no second diagnostic. That covers our workmanship on the repair described on your invoice.

It does not cover a different fault on the same appliance. If the ice maker we rebuilt is fine and the door heater then fails, that is a new job with its own $129 diagnostic — and we will say which of the two it is before we come out, not after.

Parts — 365 days

Parts we supply and install carry 365 days of coverage against failure of the part itself. The part number goes on your invoice so you can identify what was fitted. We install genuine oem parts; where a part is discontinued and no equivalent exists, we tell you that instead of substituting something that does not belong in the machine.

What voids it

  • Work done on the same component by anyone else after our visit.
  • Physical damage, flooding, or a surge event after the repair.
  • Continued operation in a condition we identified in writing — a grille a cabinet panel has closed off, or a duct run that cannot carry what the blower moves, will reproduce the same symptom, and that is not a part failure.
  • Moving the appliance to another address.

Maintenance is not a defect

Some parts are consumables and are meant to be replaced on a schedule: filters, baffle filters, door gaskets that have taken a set, and the cleaning of condenser coils and fans. Where a fault returns because the scheduled maintenance did not happen, that is not a failure of the repair. We tell you at the time what interval the machine needs, in writing, as part of the work — not as an upsell after the fact.

The same applies to the installation around the appliance. If we report a restricted air path, a duct that necks down, a unit out of level or a drain without fall, correcting it is part of keeping the repair good. We would rather write that on the invoice than have you pay twice for the same symptom.

Manufacturer coverage is separate

Greenleaf Appliance Service is an independent appliance repair company. We are not affiliated with, authorized by, or endorsed by Viking or its parent company. All brand names and model numbers are the property of their respective owners and are used only to identify the appliances we service.

That means the warranty on this page is ours and ours alone. If your appliance is still inside Viking's own coverage, you should use that route first — a repair by an independent shop may affect it, and we would rather say so up front than take work that costs you a manufacturer claim. Ask us and we will tell you which way we would go.

Covered work

Every repair we complete on these carries the same terms.
