Do you charge by the hour?

No. There is no hourly rate on this site and none on the invoice. The visit is a flat diagnostic, shown in the work-order panel, and the repair is quoted as a whole job with parts and labour counted together. An awkward opening costs us time; it does not turn into extra hours billed to you.

Can you quote the repair over the phone?

Not to a figure. From the model number and a clear description of the symptom we can usually say which band on the schedule it points at, and whether the visit is worth booking at all. The figure itself is written down after the diagnostic, because before that it would be a guess with a decimal point on it.

Will you say so if the appliance is not worth repairing?

Yes, and it happens often enough to be worth asking about. If the fault lands deep in the schedule on a machine that already has other tired parts, or the part has stopped being supplied, we say so on the visit and the diagnostic is all you have paid. How that judgement is worked out is set out on the repair-or-replace sheet.

When can a technician come out?

During shop hours, Monday to Saturday as listed in the work-order panel. We do not offer after-hours or emergency call-outs, and we would rather tell you that than promise a window we cannot hold.

Scope of work

Viking kitchen appliances — and nothing mechanical in the house

Greenleaf Appliance Service repairs built-in kitchen appliances — the Viking equipment specified into a kitchen and installed in it, plus the outdoor cooking equipment that was specified with it. Home heating, air conditioning, heat pumps, air handlers and the ductwork that serves them are not work this shop takes, in Nocatee or anywhere else inside the radius. A hood duct, a condenser air path and the cooling load on a built-in are appliance work and we measure all three; the house's own mechanical systems belong to a mechanical contractor.

Viking on this site is the kitchen-appliance manufacturer. There is also a place called Viking in Indian River County, well south of St. Johns County; this shop does not work there, and it does not service heating or cooling equipment anywhere.
